OSP Engineer II

The OSP Engineer II is a telecommunications professional responsible for supporting the design, maintenance, and optimization of outside plant (OSP) network infrastructure within a 50-mile radius of Bloomsburg, PA.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and release routine and specific outside plant work orders (distribution and feeder).
• Provide both field and administrative support to the OSP workforce.
• Support turf engineers in Central PA with:
  • Rural Broadband initiatives
  • Business-As-Usual (BAU) design upgrades, repairs, and enhancements
• Design solutions for:
  • Aerial, underground, and buried cable (copper & fiber)
  • Customer premise equipment for multi-tenant buildings
• Monitor and analyze residential requirements for multi-tenant buildings.
• Extend FiOS through BAU and Rural Broadband programs, including HBW and FTTC projects.
• Coordinate with various Verizon departments and external stakeholders (e.g., building management, property owners, tenants).
• Independently manage high-visibility assignments and make design decisions within budgetary limits.
