Software Engineer 4 / Lead Gen AI & Data Engineer

Client: Financial Services

Location: Charlotte, NC – Hybrid (3 days onsite; Mon/Tues required)

Contract Length: 12 months (possible extension or conversion)

Pay Rate: $69 - $74

Top Requirements

1. 5+ years of experience in GenAI, AI Data Engineering, or Agentic AI roles
2. Strong Python development skills and advanced SQL expertise (complex queries, optimization)
3. Hands-on experience building agentic AI solutions using Google ADK and/or LangChain/LangGraph

Plusses

1. Experience with RAG architectures, vector databases, and LLM integrations (Anthropic, Gemini, etc.)
2. Background in data engineering (ETL/ELT pipelines, data integration across systems of record)
3. Experience with modern data stack tools (dbt, Airflow, Kafka, BigQuery, Snowflake)
4. Cloud platform experience (GCP preferred, Azure/AWS acceptable)
5. Knowledge of LLMOps, observability, governance, and AI guardrails

Job Summary

In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables. Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise-grade Agentic AI systems using Google ADK, LangChain, and LangGraph
• Build and orchestrate multi-agent workflows, including tool integration, memory, and state management
• Integrate AI agents with enterprise systems of record (SoRs) through APIs, pipelines, and connectors
• Develop scalable Python-based services supporting AI workflows (RAG, tool calling, structured outputs)
• Engineer and maintain data pipelines (batch and streaming) ensuring high-quality, governed data access
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for analytics, feature engineering, and real-time decisioning
• Integrate enterprise LLMs (e.g., Gemini, Anthropic) into agent frameworks and workflows
• Implement observability, evaluation, and guardrails across AI and data layers
• Ensure data quality, lineage, compliance, and cost optimization using cloud-native tools
• Collaborate with business, operations, and technology teams to develop AI copilots and automation solutions
• Contribute to innovation initiatives such as the "Observe to Agent" program, converting human processes into AI-driven workflows
