Software Engineer 4 / Lead DevOps Engineer

Client: Financial Services

Location: Columbus, OH (3075 Loyalty Cir) or Charlotte, NC (CIC) – Hybrid (3 days onsite mandatory)

Contract Length: 12 months (possible extension or conversion)

Pay Rate: $69 - $74

Top Requirements:

1. 5+ years of DevOps / Platform Engineering experience with strong Kubernetes and OpenShift (OCP) expertise
2. Hands-on experience with GitOps, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), and deployment tools such as Harness
3. Strong experience with Java build tools (Maven/Gradle) and automation using Python

Plusses:

1. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
2. Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) and cloud-native architecture
3. DevSecOps practices, observability, and pipeline instrumentation experience
4. Certifications (Kubernetes, DevOps) or exposure to AI/agentic frameworks
5. Experience working in regulated environments with governance and audit controls

Job Summary:

In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables. Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and operate scalable cloud-native platforms using Kubernetes and OpenShift
• Implement and manage GitOps-driven CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Harness
• Automate infrastructure and application deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
• Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines for microservices across distributed environments
• Develop automation scripts and tooling using Python for CI/CD and infrastructure provisioning
• Enable cloud-native solutions across Azure and GCP environments
• Integrate DevSecOps practices, observability, and monitoring into pipelines
• Optimize deployment processes to improve reliability, reduce errors, and increase speed
• Collaborate with development teams to enable self-service platforms and improve developer productivity
• Ensure governance, compliance, and audit standards are met within DevOps processes
• Provide technical leadership and contribute to DevOps transformation initiatives
