IT Site Support Technician
We are seeking a motivated IT Site Support Technician to join a dynamic team at a fulfillment center. In this role, you will be essential in maintaining IT systems and ensuring smooth operations within a fast-paced environment. This position is a 3-6 month contract-to-hire opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve application, hardware, and network issues to minimize operational disruption.
- Interact with and educate customers, providing clear and effective technical solutions.
- Document, analyze, and resolve help desk tickets efficiently.
- Collaborate with local and remote IT teams and operations management to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Support PCs within a Windows Active Directory environment.
- Participate in a 24/7 support and on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
- 3+ years of IT support experience, preferably in a warehouse or factory environment.
- Experience with RF Scanners and Zebra brand laser printers.
- Demonstrable experience in PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and liquidation.
- Background in Microsoft Administration, Mobile Device Management, and RF Technologies.
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SSL, and TCP/IP protocols.
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with network and infrastructure support.
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification.
- Prior experience providing IT support in a Fulfillment Center environment.
- Experience with Motorola/Zebra RF Units (e.g., Moto MC9190, VC6090, WT41N0).
- Familiarity with working in a Service Level Agreement (SLA) driven environment.
Work Environment
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. After an initial training period (Monday-Friday), the shift will be Wednesday-Saturday, 5:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Ability to stand or walk for 6 to 8 hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
