Field Service Technician II

Position: Field Service Technician II

Location: Orlando, FL

Estimated Duration: The client approximates that this project will be a 3-6 month contract to hire. However, there is no guarantee of employment for any length of time.

Pay Rate Range: $17-20/hr. +mileage reimbursement (paid weekly on W2)

Schedule: Monday-Friday; 9:00am-6:00pm (with 1 hour lunch)

Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like:

  • Travel to client locations to install, maintain, and repair IT systems, including servers, networks, and peripheral devices.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on-site.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients on the use of IT systems.
  • Perform network setup and configuration, ensuring full connectivity of desktop and other networked peripherals.
  • Maintain detailed records of service requests, work performed, and client interactions.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals to resolve complex issues and improve service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Strong hardware break/fix experience and printer break/fix (preferably laser jet), Large Format Printer break-fix experience.
  • Top 2 skills: Hardware repair hands-on (printers, PCs, POS, etc.) break fix, and familiar with ticketing systems.
  • This role requires extensive driving, efficient routing, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing schedules.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Works well independently as well as within a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A+ certification is a plus.
