Position: Construction Engineer III

12 month initial contract, potential to extend up to 30 months
Description: Manage construction activities related to the development of multiple, simultaneous Network infrastructure projects including; RFQ or RFP process, Contract process, Sealed bid, Distributing bid packages, Coordinating bid walk, Awarding project, Monitoring progress, Providing regular status updates, Resolving issues. Provide financial management of projects from initial proposal/bid through receipt of final product or service including.
Demonstrate professionalism by responding to e-mails promptly, actively participating in meetings, ability to explain issues clearly, providing updates, maintaining records, working with other departments, and understanding the impact of their job to the overall business. Establish quality assurance methods, procedures, standards, and technical training related to site design and construction. Evaluate new products, services, and vendors. Weigh the pros and cons, including impact to the system, costs, compatibility, ease of use, reliability, timing parameters. Interface with internal and external departments as well as regulatory agencies by interacting with municipal agencies in the pursuit of building permits, construction inspections, and by finally obtaining certificates of occupancy for network facilities. 5 to 10 years of experience.
MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important): Technologically savvy, Sense of urgency, 3-7 years wireless network management experience, preferably PC or PM with knowledge of construction, Team player, Ability to communicate effectively with wide variety of groups

MUST HAVE SKILLS: Knowledge of working with Ericsson/Nokia, DC plant design, and general construction knowledge, Knowledge of fiber installation and standards, Experience in telecommunications/data networking or wireless industry, Knowledge in Cellular Design and Construction to include Macro and Small Cell Construction.
DESIRED SKILLS: Solid understanding of telecom networking, networks and technologies, equipment designs and configuration procedures, and inventory. Strong technical and project management skills as well as excellent PC and software application skills including Windows and Google Suite products. Capability to be highly organized and ability to manage multiple, often conflicting priorities to successful completion. Excellent verbal and written skills for inter-organizational communications. Strong track record of leadership and management.
JOB DUTIES: Collaborating with partners to establish project designs, scope, deliverables and timelines. Developing and maintaining detailed schedules for each project and actively running the scheduled tasks with outside vendors including major breakthroughs, action items, long lead purchases, and any other commitments that would impact the project timeline. Analyzing implications of changes from the original schedule and taking required corrective actions to ensure the project stays on track. Providing regular project status reports to management and the project team. Coordinating and leading all aspects of the issuance of RFQs and the evaluation of responses, based on purchasing requirements, and providing detailed analysis and recommendations for the best candidates. Requests and manages budgetary funding requests and purchase orders for their projects. Leading new or large program deployments, on boards new vendors and provides guidance to junior engineers. Will utilize FUZE, Ops Tracker, PeopleSoft, UneFi, and various Microsoft and Google applications. Serve as a Subject matter Expert (SME) in some aspects of construction, modification, or equipment configurations.
