Senior DevOps Automation Engineer

Location: On-site in McLean, VA

Assignment Type: 6-Month Contract (with strong potential to extend through 2026)

Are you a seasoned DevOps Automation Engineer ready to jump into high-impact work? This team is in crunch mode and needs someone who can hit the ground running—bringing deep automation expertise and a proactive mindset to streamline deployment processes and accelerate delivery.

What You'll Be Doing:

You'll design and implement automation solutions that simplify and optimize pre-deployment workflows for microservices. This includes environment setup, configuration management, and validation. You'll build tools that automate quality gates, improve release efficiency, and reduce manual overhead.

Core Skills Required:

• Programming: Java
• Scripting: TypeScript, Groovy, Shell (or similar)
• Automation: Proven experience building and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines
• Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS, EKS
• Microservices: Spring Boot-based architecture

Bonus Points For:

• Experience in fast-paced environments or financial services
• Python development
• Strong problem-solving and testing skills
• Familiarity with modern DevOps tools and practices
