Job Description: Data Operations & Transformation Specialist

The Data Operations & Transformation Specialist will play a key role in modernizing core data capabilities, contributing to the transition away from legacy systems, and supporting the development of a unified, trusted data product. This role is highly visible and hands-on, with direct impact on a foundational enterprise data function.

A central focus of this position is to support the evolution of householding data—ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment across historical and new datasets. This work is essential for enabling accurate customer insights and relationship understanding across the organization.

First 3–6 Months: Key Expectations

The onboarding process is well-documented, and the team will provide guidance and support as you learn. During your first few months, you will:

  • Execute monthly data product refreshes end-to-end using established playbooks and tooling.
  • Build a strong understanding of the underlying data domain, data models, and platform ecosystem.
  • Gradually take on more complex data transformation tasks involving advanced SQL, dbt, and Snowflake—skills you will also begin applying within monthly refresh cycles.

Required Technical Skills

  1. Strong SQL proficiency (ability to write basic to advanced queries).
  2. Fundamental understanding of relational databases.
  3. Experience cleaning, transforming, and validating data.

Preferred Technical Skills

  1. Experience with Snowflake.
  2. Experience with dbt (data build tool).
  3. Proficiency in Python.
  4. Basic understanding of data science concepts and common workflows.
