This team leverages the client's vast data warehouse to extract and analyze relevant data, and present their findings and recommendations to management in a way that is actionable.
Drive cost savings for the client's delivery fleet repairs, average servicing and maintenance costs by providing visibility metrics, understanding data models and identifying remedies for data feeds.
Engineer critical input and output metrics. Work collaboratively with the team and business to focus on improving delivery fleet, life services and engineering services. Will predominantly work with internal stakeholders, ie. other BIEs, data eng, program managers, and will have some visibility to leadership. May need to speak to external vendors for data quality initiatives. Deep diving into delivery results and providing actionable solutions/suggestions. Create performance metrics to measure operational performance, identify root causes and trends, and prescribe action plans around the globe. Learn, explore, apply, and gain expertise in many internal products.
Technical experience in SQL (7+ yr) and Tableau or Quicksight (2+ yr). Analytical mindset. Data modeling (7+yr) (no exp needed in a specific system or software - HM said anything transferable). Excellent written & verbal comms (10+ yr).
High preference for someone with previous exp at a big tech or retail company within a Data or Reporting capacity. Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift. Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
Top principles: Earns Trust, Customer Obsession, Deliver Results. 7+ years of experience working with large-scale complex datasets. Strong analytical mindset, ability to decompose business requirements into an analytical plan, and execute the plan to answer those business questions. Strong working knowledge of SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting exp (Python) to process data for modeling. 3+ years of analyzing/interpreting data w/ Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc. Experience w/ data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar. Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab. Graduate degree in math/statistics, computer science or related field, or marketing is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, equally adept at working with engineers as well as business leaders. Ability to speak to external vendors on data quality initiatives.
Ex. Were finding thousands of records that a repair completion date is before a start date, this person needs to deep dive and ask vendor to address the issue. Normally the program managers will handle this, but BIE/tech person may be asked to help speak in technical terms to external vendors.
x2 video calls, 60min each, one with the hiring manager, the other with a colleague (BIE II). There will be a live SQL assessment.
