Software Engineer 3 / Business Data Analyst – Risk Data Services

Location: Charlotte, NC – Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Contract Length: 12 months (strong potential for extension / possible FTE conversion)

Pay Rate: $53 - $57

Top Requirements:

1. 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data operations, or risk data environments
2. Strong understanding of data governance, data quality controls, and data lifecycle management
3. Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, Excel, and ability to support Power Apps solutions

Plusses:

1. Experience with metadata onboarding, data platforms, or data quality tools
2. Financial services or regulated environment experience (risk, compliance, data governance)
3. Experience collaborating across business and technology teams
4. Exposure to automation, AI, or process improvement initiatives

Job Summary:

In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering and contribute to large-scale planning related to Software Engineering deliverables. Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Software Engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with client personnel in Software Engineering.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Support Risk Data Services (RDS) onboarding processes for data sources, metadata, and tenants
• Partner with stakeholders to intake, refine, and validate data onboarding requests
• Execute and monitor data control frameworks to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance
• Perform root cause analysis on data issues and coordinate remediation efforts
• Document and validate end-to-end data flows, including source-to-target mapping
• Collaborate with metadata, risk, compliance, and platform teams to ensure proper data governance
• Act as a liaison between business and technology teams to translate requirements
• Develop and maintain reporting and dashboards in Power BI
• Support workflow automation and enhancements using Power Apps
• Write and validate SQL queries for data analysis and validation
• Utilize Excel for reconciliation, reporting, and data quality checks
• Identify and drive process improvement opportunities, including automation initiatives
