Azure Cloud Automation Engineer

Apex Systems is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Automation Engineer for a large financial client in Charlotte, NC. The position is a 12 mo. contract position that requires candidates to sit onsite in Charlotte, NC on a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). Candidates must have strong experience with Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell automation skills within the Azure cloud environment. Further details regarding the position are below.

Pay Range: $65-69/hr.

Hybrid Schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) in Charlotte, NC

The client is looking for an Azure Cloud Automation Engineer to join the balance sheet finance space in EFT. One of the main responsibilities of this role will be to support the migration of applications from on-prem environments to the Cloud. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and automation solutions within Azure. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience as a Cloud Engineer using automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell.

Top Requirements:

• 4+ years of professional experience in cloud engineering and automation with Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell
• Proven experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services
• Strong proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Ansible and PowerShell
• Solid understanding of networking, compute, storage, and database domains
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions in Azure using tools such as Terraform
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Ansible and PowerShell to streamline deployment, configuration, and operational task.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data integration efforts
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of cloud environments
• Participate in CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and automation
• Document processes, configurations, and best practices
