Role Overview
We are seeking an Application Architect with specialized subject matter expertise in CI/CD tools and a strong understanding of the latest cloud technology stacks. This role is responsible for providing in-depth problem analysis, ensuring proactive application stability, and offering production support. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with a variety of DevOps tools and demonstrate excellent troubleshooting and communication skills to support the development community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide in-depth problem analysis of application, system errors, and performance issues.
- Conduct proactive application stability analysis, including investigating performance concerns and improving maintenance processes.
- Take ownership of problem root cause analysis and subsequent remediation.
- Investigate chronic issues for critical applications and lead proactive monitoring review and implementation.
- Offer on-call support for production releases and manage incident and change management processes.
- Triage and troubleshoot code and platform-related issues to find the root cause and corrective action.
- Create and manage automation tasks and playbooks; perform application installation and maintenance.
- Handle multiple support issues concurrently during a shift.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in a production support role.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible Tower, and a release orchestration tool like Digital.ai's XLR.
- Experience with testing tools such as TOSCA, QTest, or Octane.
- Previous experience as a developer with debugging capabilities.
Technical Skills:
- Solid understanding of code related to Java,.Net, Python, Scala, Node.js, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of cloud programming with Terraform, and experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or OpenShift.
- Expertise in Unix systems, scripting, and knowledge of BASH and KSH.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting pipelines for Maven, MSBuild, and Python.
- A good understanding of Oracle and/or Postgres databases.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with writing and maintaining process documentation.
- A strong aptitude for forward-thinking of complex processes to eliminate manual processing.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- A collaborative mindset with a focus on building strong relationships across teams.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Rate: $65.00/hr - $73.68/hr.
