Staff AI Engineer

The Edge AI team is seeking a Staff AI Engineer to contribute to the development of next-generation AI models and building blocks for deployment on constrained hardware devices. This role focuses on optimizing AI models, including transformers, for edge hardware, employing techniques such as quantization, pruning, and benchmarking to create efficient and effective AI solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring advanced AI technologies to Analog Devices' hardware platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize AI models, focusing on transformers, for deployment on constrained edge hardware.
  • Implement and utilize techniques such as quantization, pruning, and hardware-specific optimizations to improve performance.
  • Contribute to hardware benchmarking efforts to evaluate model performance and resource usage.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration of AI solutions into Analog Devices' platforms.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of scalable, reusable AI building blocks for edge applications.
  • Stay informed about advancements in AI optimization techniques, edge computing, and hardware-specific AI tools.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of industry experience in AI/ML model development, optimization, and deployment.
  • Strong expertise in AI model optimization techniques, including quantization, pruning, and benchmarking for edge hardware.
  • Hands-on experience with transformer models and their deployment on embedded or constrained platforms.
  • Proficiency in Python and C++ for AI model development and integration.
  • Experience with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or ONNX, and their optimization for hardware targets.
  • Familiarity with hardware platforms, including CPUs, NPUs, and accelerators.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in creating custom AI architectures for edge devices.
  • Knowledge of Analog Devices hardware platforms or similar embedded systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for AI applications on resource-constrained devices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
