Job Location: Wilmington, Massachusetts

Job Type: Full Time

Rate of Pay: $124,342 - $163,200 per year

Participate in product development activities related to the design and development of state-of-the art integrated semiconductor products in areas including precision analog circuit design, mixed-signal design and verification, integrated power analog design or digital circuit design.

Design analog or digital circuits and chip level integrations considering design yield, and design testability. Apply knowledge of system level and block level circuitry simulation and modelling to design new circuits or techniques. Analyze data from the evaluation of silicon design and perform verification of circuits and ICs using advanced mixed-signal techniques to ensure functionality, accuracy, and reliability of design against specifications.

Determine at the block level, technical feasibility of design approach and block specifications for new product development. Document design specifications, prepare technical reports and test plans and instructions and present design review documentation at peer review meetings. Evaluate and troubleshoot complex integrated circuit problems for designs in the lab and perform functional and performance testing.

Evaluate silicon on bench, identify deviations and perform troubleshooting of design bugs, to provide recommended solutions and implement corrective actions. Work with layout engineers to review physical design layouts and make recommendations to characterize new and existing designs. Lead and coordinate project activities across cross-functional teams, including test, product and applications engineering to successfully bring new products from initial concept through production release.

Partial telecommute benefit (2 days/week work from home).

Must have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Physics or closely related technical discipline (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and two (2) years of experience as an Analog Design Engineer or related occupation performing analog or mixed signal integrated circuit design.

Must also possess the following:

  • Demonstrated expertise performing analog design, simulation, layout, and verification for analog, mixed-signal, or power designs using transistor level software design tools such as Cadence tools or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated expertise evaluating silicon design implementations on one or more CMOS or BCD processes.
  • Demonstrated expertise participating in all phases of new product development and release activities with the product development team (debug, evaluation, characterization, qualification, and final test).
  • Demonstrated expertise leveraging device physics fundamentals and knowledge of semiconductor processing in CMOS or BCD technology to design and verify analog or mixed-signal IC design blocks, including amplifiers, comparators, bandgap and oscillators.
  • Demonstrated expertise performing circuit evaluation, characterization, and failure analysis using lab or bench test equipment including spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators.
  • Experience and skills may be gained during a PhD program.
