Job Duties and Responsibilities

This role requires knowledge of microwave electronics design. These designs require detailed assemblies to be created including PCB, metal housings and cable interconnects.

  • Ideal candidate will be proficient with Solid Works and PDM.
  • Ability to design complex mechanical housings from a block diagram is very helpful
  • Primary duty is to work with mechanical engineers to create 3D CAD, mechanical procurement drawings and assembly drawings of complex microwave assemblies.
  • Knowledge of multilevel BOM and Solid Works configurations.
  • Update designs to reflect input from suppliers.
  • Legacy projects require knowledge of Auto CAD Inventor and requires interaction with production engineering.
  • Participate in the establishment and standardization of design rules and processes for the group.
  • Conduct peer and design reviews as projects progress
  • Participate in a ticket system for assigning jobs and reporting job status to the engineering community.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years’ experience preferred.
  • Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent desired
  • Ability to develop and document design and administrative processes.
  • Requires strong organizational skills, technical curiosity, and desire to work in fasted paced team environment.
  • Knowledge of JIRA agile management system is a plus
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required
  • Job Type: Full-time

Preferred

  • 10+ years’ experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of problem solving and supplier issue resolution
