P2 – Digital Verification Engineer
Analog Devices, Inc. is looking for a P2 – Digital Verification Engineer to join our team. The candidate will be self-motivated, willing to learn exciting new technologies and develop new products, but also be able to work effectively within a talented group of individuals across multiple development locations. The candidate will join a team of Analog, Digital, Mixed-Signal CMOS designers, Mask Layout designers, Verification and Validation engineers, Algorithm and Software developers, Packaging and Test engineers, implementing PMIC state of the art.
A Digital Verification Engineer ensures that digital hardware designs behave exactly as intended before they are manufactured. The role is critical in a semiconductor company where a chip re-spin has a significant impact on cost and time to market.
The main responsibilities typically include:
- Developing verification plans based on design specifications
- Building testbenches using methodologies like UVM, SystemVerilog, assertions, and coverage-driven verification
- Creating stimulus (random, constrained-random, or directed tests)
- Debugging functional issues and working closely with design teams
- Tracking coverage metrics to ensure all design features and corner cases are tested
- Running simulation or formal verification tools
- Coordinate, document and report on all the aspects of the verification tasks in all phases of the project. Participate in project meetings
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Good knowledge of Object Oriented Programming techniques
- Good knowledge of Linux commands
- HDL programming languages
- Systemverilog (strongly preferred)
- Verilog and VHDL (basic experience acceptable)
- Basic understanding of UVM (Universal Verification Methodology)
- Good knowledge of programming and scripting language
- C/C++, Python
- TCL, Makefile, Bash/csh
- At least some exposure to industry-standard EDA tools (e.g. Cadence Xcelium)
- Problem-solving mindset
- Attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have Qualifications:
- Basic IP Digital Design skills
- Proficient with Cadence Suite
- SVA Assertion
- Knowledge of Communication protocols (I2C,AHB,APB,SPI,...)
- Experience of Firmware development
