Associate Engineer, Hardware Design
Analog Devices (ADI) is seeking a FPGA Design Engineer to join our solutions team that supports a broad range of industry leading high-performance linear solutions and standard products in end applications such as industrial automation, instrumentation, automotive, healthcare and communication systems.
The Hardware Design Engineer is responsible for designing mixed signal hardware systems. As part of a cross functional team, the HW Design Engineer performs definition, development, implementation, and documentation of the designs, supports the HDL and software teams in system testing, bring-up and debug; and provides technical support for our global customers.
Responsibilities include:
- Design, development, and testing of digital and analog systems
- Support the PCB layout design
- Conduct hardware validation, debugging, and performance testing
- Document design specifications, test results, and engineering change
- Support the HDL and SW teams in system level definition, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting
- Develop design documentation, application notes, How-To guides, and technical articles
- Provide customer support through the ADI Engineer Zone forum, assist in technical training for field personnel and customers
Qualifications:
- BS/MS degree in EE or ECE or equivalent relevant experience.
- HW design skills with relevant working experience
- Experience with hardware debugging/troubleshooting
- Knowledge of analog, linear and mixed-signal circuit fundamentals and devices
- Experience with test equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, multimeters etc
- Knowledge of embedded systems architecture
- Familiarity with C++ and Python
- Can work independently and in a team to develop innovative solutions
