The AI Operations Lead is responsible for translating AI strategy into operational excellence across the organization. This leader partners with VP, Edge AI to scale AI initiatives, drive best-in-class program execution, and ensure the delivery of measurable business impact. The role blends technical fluency with business acumen to orchestrate cross-functional alignment, optimize resource allocation, and embed operational rigor into every phase of the AI lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary operational leader for AI programs, ensuring seamless end-to-end execution—from project intake to deployment and post-launch optimization.
  • Partner with stakeholders to operationalize AI roadmaps and strategic priorities. (Note: this is not a project management role, but will require frequent alignment with our PM office.)
  • Develop and implement scalable processes, frameworks, and governance to accelerate AI solution delivery while managing risk and compliance.
  • Drive cross-functional program management, including project reviews, milestone tracking, and executive reporting.
  • Optimize resource planning and allocation to support high-priority AI initiatives and maximize value delivery.
  • Translate technical AI milestones into business-relevant metrics and dashboards for leadership visibility.
  • Identify and address operational bottlenecks, proactively removing barriers to accelerate AI innovation.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence across AI teams.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in AI operations, incorporating learnings to improve internal processes.
  • Assist with presentations: Prepare and deliver presentations to communicate AI strategies, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Assist with communications, working with internal and external comms teams and agencies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an operational leadership or program management role within AI, data science, or technology-driven environments.
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts (hands-on expertise not required, but technical fluency is essential). Candidate is likely to have a technical background and might have pivoted into operations-related roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to bridge technical and business priorities with executive presence.
  • Track record of driving complex, cross-functional initiatives from strategy to execution.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience building scalable systems, processes, and metrics for program delivery.
  • Ability to use modern GenAI tools, like Copilot365, with a high degree of autonomy and efficacy. Candidate has likely made their own agents before.
  • Proficiency in presentation tools and visual executive communications to the ELT and board level: Experience with tools like PowerPoint, Keynote, or similar to create and deliver impactful presentations.
