Operations & Maintenance of CHP (Combined Heat & Power) systems is a primary responsibility
Follow PM (Preventive Maintenance) schedule, routine field inspection of all equipment, complete daily site-walk to assess equipment visual health, completing routine greasing and oil top-up runs, and filling completed PM/Job Order on CMMS
Identify spare parts and consumables procurement needs and prepare requisitions for approval
Familiar with basic electrical repairs and sensor troubleshooting
Support in organizing spare parts, tools, and consumables (Oil, Grease, Seals, Bearings, etc.); maintaining records, and ensuring the availability of spare parts on time
Dismantling of equipment such as blowers/pumps
Develop and maintain skills such as using forklifts, hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools, and examining the form and texture of parts
Inspecting and collecting information on parts/pipes and other equipment; use rules, calipers, and other measuring instruments
Follow all safety SOPs and support in the fabrication of temp lines, pipes, patchwork, welding, grinding, or cutting work on site
Cleaning equipment as necessary
Ensure all calibration records for crane, lifting devices, etc., are always up to date and kept in records
Inspects and tests eye washes and other life safety systems
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Ensure that the work area is kept clean, free of hazards, and is hygienic
Team collaboration to achieve goals and objectives as needed
Works as a backup operator as needed
Flexibility in working longer hours/overtime or weekend work
Education and Experience
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
Has taken some training toward a licensed trade
Must possess a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record, the ability to become mobile crane certified, personnel lift, and forklift certified.
Technical Skills
Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and engineering specifications to maintain and repair equipment
Identify the tools and equipment necessary for repair and maintenance work
Identify parts and other materials required to maintain and fix equipment
Perform basic diagnostic testing of pumps, compressors, conveyors, screws, and other large industrial machinery
Ability to check machine performance, dismantle machines, and remove parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists
Test damaged parts according to specifications; replace the damaged and worn parts if necessary
Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work
Clean and lubricate machinery, including changing oils when required
Listening to the equipment to understand variances and possible problems
Basic pipefitting capabilities
Ability to maintain records of repair and maintenance work using the CMMS system
Capable of leading contract mechanical work activities outside the capabilities of our local staff
Ability to weld is an asset
