The Account Manager will support the Sales Manager, DACH, in executing sales growth across multiple markets in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. As a key member of the company's DACH regional sales, service and applications team, the Account Manager will collaborate closely and work proactively to identify and win equipment and aftermarket sales with new customers as well as growing existing and key accounts. The Account Manager will also support the Sales Manager with sales forecasts, business reporting and budgeting processes. From time to time the Account Manager may manage Key Accounts across the DACH region in addition to any prescribed territories. The Account Manager will also take the lead in managing the appointed Distributor in Switzerland, as well as identifying and onboarding any additional channel sales partners.
Experience (10+ years) in sales activities for industrial products, ideally complex high value capital equipment, with a good overall technical knowledge and team leadership talent / experience. Degree level education, ideally STEM / Engineering.
Previous experience in the Metrology business is a plus; with target industries: AeroSpace and Defence, Bearings, High precision Optics, Precision Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing. Experience in developing and implementing promotional and marketing plans Strong interpersonal and communication skills, internally and externally, at all levels. Fluent English and German Knowledge and experience in the use of CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce or similar) Based in Southern Germany, Stuttgart, Munich, etc.
