Automotive Service Manager

Vector Fleet Management, an Amerit Fleet Solutions Company, is seeking an Automotive Service Manager to join our team in the Sacramento, CA. This position coordinates the activities involved with automotive fleet repair by performing the essential duties and responsibilities below.

Compensation: Competitive Salary Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! Salary range: $65,000-80,000, depending on experience!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee customer intake and service orders.
  • Maintains customer satisfaction scores at or above company standards.
  • Assists in diagnosing vehicle problems.
  • Assists technicians in ordering parts and tools as necessary.
  • Creates and presents estimates for repairs
  • Assists in specialized reporting for clients.
  • Oversees administration of warranty claims.
  • Assists in coordinating of third party vendor services.
  • Oversees training and supervising of service department employees.
  • Schedules and assigns tasks to service department employees.
  • Reinforces company policies and adheres to company standards.
  • Encourages compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintains good working relationship with client(s).
  • Attends required manager meetings.
  • Maintains effective employee relations.
  • Interact with external vendors.
  • Manage technician productivity.
  • Take ownership of the customer's experience by carrying out those additional assignments that allow the shop to leave a positive impression with the customers.

Key Competencies and Minimum Education

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a service management or assistant service management role is required
  • Previous Ford, Chrysler, GM dealership experience strongly preferred
  • ASE Service Consultant (C1) certification preferred
  • Must have computer proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word & Excel)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Good organizational and people skills
