Finance Systems Support Analyst

The Controller department is seeking a Financial Systems Analyst. The Financial Systems Analyst will play a pivotal role in this organization by overseeing the administration and maintenance of our accounting/financial systems. These systems and applications support our accounting finance and reporting teams. Our Financial Systems team will provide oversight, maintenance, and administration of multiple financial/accounting systems and applications. The team, actively participates in implementations, projects, enhancements and upgrades to existing and new financial systems. They will troubleshoot and solution issues for our users in finance and accounting, to support and administer all system issues including and not limited to, monthly and quarterly financial close. The position will coordinate and collaborate regularly with IT when applicable to keep all systems and users working. Additionally, there is a growth area around upgrading and identifying process improvements to the various modules an SASS applications.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Provide support and administration to the business function, maintaining our financial system including, SAP ECC, SAP S4 HANA, Powerplan, Alteryx, Hyperion and Blackline, and Avalara.
  • Assist with system testing, documentation and operating procedures and projects (i.e. upgrades, new system implementations)
  • Assists end-user community with technical solutions and support in identifying, resolving and/or advancing issues encountered in business systems
  • Performs setups in the systems to include but not limited to chart of accounts values in the general ledger and maintenance of financial tables. Also, maintain documentation to document related to setups
  • Assist with the development of and delivery of training programs for various financial application users
  • Translate business requirements to system functional requirements
  • Develop and maintain an expert level of functional knowledge of the applications
  • Build strong relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Assure compliance on systems' SOX requirements and protocols including, access control, COA maintenance, and change management across various applications.
  • Administer and maintain financial systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
  • Provide business and system administration ensuring appropriate master data setup to enable accurate financial postings for system integrations and daily business operations.
  • Liaison between Finance and IT, facilitating the translation of business requirements and issues into system solutions and actions where applicable.
  • Responsibilities include analyzing system issues, application data, and business processes, creating solutions, performing testing, identifying opportunities for process improvements, and providing recommendations that align with business objectives and user needs.

Experience/Education includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, information science, or related business field is required
  • Basic knowledge of finance operations
  • Minimum of three years of financial information systems experience is preferred
  • Specific experience with SAP, Hyperion, Powerplan and/or Blackline highly desirable
  • Experience with system enhancement processes, project implementation, and testing.
  • The ability to understand and assess the underlying financial and internal control linkages to business processes.
