Your Mission, Should You Choose to Squish It... You'll travel from customer to customer, putting their mind at ease, solving their pest issues, and yes, you'll occasionally be a hero. Ants marching? Termites dining? Spiders freeloading? You'll help people take back their homes and businesses with professionalism...and maybe the occasional pun or two.

Who Fits the Bill (and the Boots)... What does it take to be a successful technician at American Pest? For starters, you'll be at least 18 years old, enthusiastic, dutiful, and dedicated with an eye for detail and love for customer service. You'll also have:

• The ability to safely move about customer locations, ascend/descend stairs and ladders to service out of the way areas, and position yourself to conduct service under/around furniture, equipment, and tight spaces
• The ability to safely move items and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
• The ability to work outdoors in all regular seasonal weather conditions
• Technical proficiency with computers, smart phones, etc.
• Held a valid driver's license for at least 3 years with an acceptable driving record
• The ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
• Good oral and written communication
• Solid attention to detail
• Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule (between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.)
• Availability to work some weekends
• High school degree or equivalent

Our Process: Quick, Painless, Sting-Free... Knowing what to expect when job hunting is always a welcome relief. Our process for this position includes the following steps:

1. Application submission
2. Short phone interview
3. Schedule an interview and complete our full application
4. Interview in person at one of our six office locations in Fulton MD, Frederick MD, Springfield VA, Richmond VA, Troy VA, or Virginia Beach VA.
5. Emailed offer letter, which is contingent on step 6, tentative start date set
6. Criminal background check/drug screening/reference check
7. Official start date confirmed
8. Welcome!
