Responsible for directing American's strategies to profitably and sustainably grow revenue and improve connections with strategic American Airline accounts. Will focus on utilizing American's retailing focus to update contracting and content strategy in concert with counterparts in Revenue Management, Revenue Analysis, Corp Comm, Reservations and Finance.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships acting as trusted advisor to understand business needs and deliver tailored solutions that align with customer goals
  • Drive strategic sales initiatives by identifying, developing, and closing high-value opportunities across global accounts, ensuring consistent revenue growth and customer satisfaction
  • Serves as lead negotiator for contracts with their covered accounts
  • Works in regular and close coordination with counterparts in the Commercial organization, Revenue Management, Network Planning, Corp Comm, Res, Strategic Alliances, and Joint Business Partners to shape the company's strategy and address financial and operational performance issues
  • Serves as AA's key representative at meetings and events for their covered accounts

All You'll Need For Success

  • BS/MA, 5+ years of experience
  • Demonstrates the highest standards of personal ethics and integrity
  • Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills with an aptitude for problem solving; ability to solve problems creatively and tenaciously
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, negotiate skillfully, digest complex details, and use sound judgment and initiative in making decisions
  • Understands and is motivated by what is involved to change the status quo and the art and science of negotiating, both internally and externally, to achieve the desired outcome; seeks opportunities to transform existing business models
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with ability to handle complex topics comfortably and interact effectively with all levels of the organization in a straight-forward manner, both verbally and written
  • Ability to influence others through outstanding interpersonal skills, collaboration, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build consensus, both within the Modern Retailing organization and with other organizations within the company
  • Ability to identify creative and innovative solutions to complex problems
  • Ability to be flexible in adapting new ideas and approaches in work methods
  • Demonstrated ability to create a culture of continuous improvement that is open and respectful and that thrives on diversity and trust
