Early Childhood Special Education Teacher

Are you a passionate educator with experience supporting young learners with special needs? Amergis is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Special Education Teacher to lead two small groups of students—one in the morning and one in the afternoon—focused on building foundational academic, social, and developmental skills.

This is a high-impact role working with a caseload of 6–8 students, where your expertise and care will help shape their early learning journey in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Position Details

• Location: Appleton, WI
• Grade Levels: Early Childhood (Pre-K–K focus)
• Caseload: 6–8 students
• Schedule: Two groups – AM & PM
• Pay Rate: $50/hour
• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Start Date: Immediate openings available

What You'll Do

• Deliver individualized instruction tailored to developmental and academic needs
• Support students in communication, behavior regulation, and daily routines
• Collaborate with families, support staff, and general education teachers
• Develop and implement IEPs and progress monitoring plans
• Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements

• Experience working with children in special education settings
• Valid Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) license (or eligibility)
• Must pass background checks and drug screening
• Completion of required trainings (per school and state guidelines)
• CPR certification and health screenings (as applicable)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
