Direct Support Professional (DSP) – $21/hr

Eastern Shore | Ridgely, Easton, Chestertown, MD | Full-Time & Part-Time | Multiple Shifts Available

We are hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community-based group homes on the Eastern Shore. We have immediate openings across multiple schedules and locations.

Pay & Contract

• $21/hour
• 13-week contract
• Start Date: ASAP
• Free on-site parking

Available Schedules

Full-Time (32–40 hrs/week):

• 4pm–12am (Mon–Fri)
• 12am–8am (Mon–Fri)
• Weekend position (Fri–Sun, 32 hrs/week)

Part-Time (16–32 hrs/week):

• Weekend and overnight (AON) shifts available

Position Overview

The DSP provides person-centered support to individuals living in Benedictine group homes, assisting with daily living skills, personal care, community participation, and behavioral support. This role requires compassion, professionalism, and a commitment to promoting independence, safety, and dignity.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and behavioral support
• Assist with personal care and daily living activities
• Support community outings and recreation
• Implement Person-Centered Plans
• Document services and incidents accurately (EMR: e-tracker)

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year recent experience in a similar role
• Experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred
• Group home experience preferred
• Reliable, patient, and professional
