Description of Duties: The Data Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated data pipelines.
- Streamline our reporting processes by creating automated pipelines that support data scientists and analysts to have standardized and high-quality dashboards ensure stakeholders have access to the right data.
Basic Requirements:
- Must have 14, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience o May be reduced with completion of advanced education
- Must have 7, or more, years of directly related experience in data science, data engineering, and digital engineering
- Must have 1, or more, years of experience working in a management or leadership role
- Must be proficient in python, R, SQL, or other coding languages
- Must have experience with databases and data lakes
- Must have experience analyzing datasets for quality, structure, and usefulness
- Must have knowledge of data connections and API integrations
- Must be familiar with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 ecosystem
- Must have proficient understanding of data formats (Excel, CSV, JSON, XML)
- Must have demonstrated experience creating and managing data pipelines
- Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Desired Requirements:
- Have experience with PowerApps and Power Automate
- Have experience with BI tools
- Have knowledge of Azure services and cloud-based data solutions
- Have Project management experience
- Have a professional background in business analysis or data science
This position is expected to pay $145,000 - $165,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
