Our Team: Air Combat Systems Program Office (ACSPO) is the acquisition and sustainment management organisation responsible for governing, supporting, and assuring the Australian F 35A Lightning II capability within the Aerospace Combat Systems Branch. It delivers asset management, project management, financial management, engineering services, and business management for the CAF30 (F-35A Lightning II Sustainment) Product and Project AIR06000 Phase 2A/B, Phase 2C, and Phase 6.
The organisation comprises an integrated workforce of around 100 ADF, APS, and above the line contractor personnel based primarily at RAAF Williamtown, supported by approximately 50 additional personnel, including JPO Cooperative Program Partner members, Reservists, embedded staff, and below the line contractors, located across Australia and the United States.
About the Role: In this role, you will provide high quality Business Operations Support to the Australian Combat Systems Program Office (ACSPO) Team. You will play a central role in enabling effective governance, coordination, and day-to-day operations, ensuring activities are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in line with Defence requirements.
Working under limited direction in a fast-paced and integrated environment, you will manage competing priorities, coordinate complex tasking, and support executive-level forums, travel, events, and communications. Your contribution will directly support the operational effectiveness, organisational health, and governance outcomes of ACSPO.
This role suits someone who is highly organised, well-spoken, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a positive mindset and the ability to work confidently with senior stakeholders across Defence.
This full-time position is based at Williamtown, near Newcastle.
