The HR Administrator is a key member of the People Team, responsible for ensuring the smooth running of core HR operations. This role blends strong administrative capability with a light advisory touch supporting employees and managers with everyday queries, maintaining accurate records, and keeping people processes on track. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who's passionate about people and eager to learn. You'll be at the heart of a busy, friendly HR team, supporting colleagues at every level of the organisation and building relationships across multiple departments. This role is perfect for someone who loves being organised, detailed-orientated, enjoys variety in their day and wants to develop their skills in a supportive environment where no two days are the same! This is a six-month fixed term contract. The role offers a hybrid and flexible working approach, you are required to attend our Cardiff HQ at least two days per week.
Prepare and issue employment-related documentation.
Maintain and update employee records in the HR system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Support regular audits and input of HR data and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Act as a first point of contact for routine HR queries, providing clear and consistent guidance on policies and processes.
Support coordination of internal HR processes.
Assist in preparing reports or summaries for internal use.
Oversee office facilities, supplies, and health & safety checks.
Essential:
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Ability to remain calm under pressure and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Confident in making informed decisions in a timely manner and taking ownership of solutions.
Ability to build and maintain trusted stakeholder relationships.
Desirable:
Previous experience in an HR administrative or coordination role.
Experience using HRIS platforms (We use Hi-Bob).
Familiarity with basic UK employment law and HR compliance requirements.
CIPD Level 3 or 5 Qualification.
