To support the daily Production at Altium Orangeville and contribute to a co-operative work environment where fairness, equity and non-discriminatory practices are the standard. A successful candidate will be able to maintain a balance of the administrative tasks along with changing priorities on the production floor to meet our Altium Performance System goals.
Responsibilities:
- Safety:
- Follow Company safety rules and ensure that all procedures under the Occupational Health and Safety Act are being followed.
- All workplace hazards and unsafe work behaviour are taken care of as soon as an employee has mentioned them.
- Complete monthly safety inspections and participate in monthly JHSC meetings.
- Forklift certified.
- Quality and Production:
- Ensure application and compliance with company and plant safety standards according to applicable laws and regulations. Monitor the daily production reports and take necessary actions to drive improvements. Participate in Daily Management Review sessions (DMR). To assist Production and Quality by upholding line clearance practises, GMP, Raw Material and FG inventory, Material Handling and other applicable tasks. Support production by performing system cleaning as per priorities established at the pre-shift meeting. Support quality by gathering supporting documentation for 'Mock Recalls', customer audits, internal audits and corporate visits. Carry out training initiatives with production and quality team members. Perform GMP audits as per established frequency.
- Communications:
- Participate in the daily pre-shift meeting for the morning and afternoon shift.
- Security and Housekeeping:
- Greet visitors and contractors and ensure proper safety review upon arrival. In addition, the incumbent will answer the main phone according to Altium Guiding Principles. Perform daily line walks to uphold cleanliness of the production and quality areas to ensure a clean and safe environment. Participate in 5S implementation in the plant. Must not disclose to any person, without the Company's consent, any information concerning its inventions, processes, methods, trade secrets, or secret procedures owned or used by the Company or any confidential information in any way relating to the Company's business affairs.
- Inventory/Shipping:
- Support shipping/receiving by completing documentation and load/unload trailers in the absence of main shipper. Perform FG and raw materials count as per established frequencies.
- Daily Duties:
- Support managers in all departments with administrative tasks such as training records, safety hazards and breeze player updates. Receive Production, Maintenance and Quality PO's in JDE by following the documented process flow. File all documents as per established frequency. Order factory supplies as per established frequencies in JDE. H&S monthly inspections, assisting with corrective actions and minutes. Input SOS cards 2x per month into AIC or other relevant software. Update DMR board with 24HRS OEE performance. On – floor training of production employee's with new practise as outlined by the leadership team. Assist in implementation of 5S in plant by producing the required documentation. Assist with labour planning/assignment. Responsible for courier pickups and deliveries. Material handling, system clean support as per business needs.
Post Secondary Education in Business Administration with 2 to 3 years experience in a manufacturing industry preferred.
Flexible and self-motivated with strong organizational, detail-oriented, multitasking, and administrative skills.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to work in a team, as well as autonomously, as required.
Coachable; Professional; Flexible schedule; Approachable; Quick learner; and Self-motivated.
Good working knowledge and ability to navigate a PC windows environment, including shared drives.
Strong skills and experience using Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint).
Ability to learn new software quickly and willingness to continuously develop technology skills.
Demonstrates good and safe work habits and have a clean working environment.
