Systems Engineer - Collaboration
The Messaging & Collaboration Engineer provides support, implementation, and design services for Microsoft O/M365, Azure, and Windows-based systems across the enterprise, including directory and identity management solutions. You will resolve assigned cases, implement change requests, and act as an escalation for support issues. You will assist with initiatives and innovative solutions through research and collaboration. Implements new software solutions as required by the business. The core infrastructure technology duties include enterprise Microsoft O/M365, Azure, SSO, Active Directory, and basic PowerShell Scripting.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in designing, implementing, and enforcing email system security, hygiene, SPAM Control, and Geofencing.
- Managing and maintaining the Microsoft O/M365 environment, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive; supporting eDiscovery and components of Purview.
- Ensuring the availability, performance, and security of messaging and collaboration systems.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate messaging and collaboration services with other IT systems and applications.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting issues with end users, providing timely resolution and support.
- Performing root cause analysis, documenting, and reporting on system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Developing techniques and implementing the resolution of problems based on prior root cause analysis.
- Staying current with emerging technologies and best practices in messaging and collaboration and applying this knowledge to enhance Altice's services.
- Interacting with end users to troubleshoot reported problems or to perform required system maintenance activities.
- Escalating problems to Engineering Leads, management, and/or vendors in a timely fashion.
- Following established Change Control procedures to document all production changes, and to limit unexpected interruptions to the production environment.
- Administering and troubleshooting Exchange 2019 and Exchange Online.
- Owning and administering SPF, DMARC Policies.
- Assisting to develop automation routines to replace manual processes and increase efficiency.
- Leveraging CoPilot and other AI systems.
Qualifications include:
- Associate degree or above in an IT-related field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of technical experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
- Experience with Microsoft O/M365, Microsoft Active Directory, and PKI architecture.
- Knowledge of Email Tracing & Forensics.
- Experience in the design and troubleshooting of Entra ID and Azure.
- Experience in the design of enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to peers, management, and business stakeholders in a written and verbal fashion.
- Ability to assist with research, analysis, definition, design, documentation, and implementation of creative solutions to achieve business objectives.
- Demonstrated knowledge of authentication, security, privacy, and compliance and how they factor into cloud and hybrid solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting skills are required in this position.
- Knowledge and understanding of basic project management concepts.
- Knowledge of traditional SDLC, Waterfall and Agile project delivery concepts.
- Knowledge and understanding of general ITIL concepts.
- Disaster Recovery experience.
- Working knowledge of network architecture and standards for large enterprise deployments and understanding of security frameworks specific to IT Standards (PCI/SOX/etc.)
- Attribute and object level knowledge of Active Directory.
