Altera is seeking a highly motivated and self-driven FPGA Applications Engineer to work with customers, distribution field personnel and specialist colleagues in multiple geographies, to enable design wins and bring issues to closure as efficiently as possible.

Your specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Providing best-in-class technical support to resolve escalated issues related to FPGA Core Fabric (DSP, Embedded Memory, PLL, Power, BSDL)
- Developing customer-facing deliverables (technical collateral, reference designs, demos, training)
- Representing customer voice in influencing internal teams to continuously improve quality, usability and debuggability of our products
- Ensuring product readiness from quality and usability perspective
Qualifications:
Qualifications The successful candidate's qualifications will include the following:
- Bachelor or Master's Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering or equivalent with a minimum 5 years in semiconductor industry
- Analytical and strong problem-solving skills with ability to work with cross-functional teams and drive issues to closure are essential
- Clear verbal and written communications skills in English are required
- Experienced in FPGA or ASIC design including Verilog/VHDL/System Verilog coding, Standard EDA flows and EDA Simulation tools
- Good technical skills in Embedded Memory, DSP, PLL, CPLD, BSDL, Power or general FPGA application are advantages
- Experience in engaging/enabling/supporting customers is a strong plus
