Job Summary:

As a hands-on Senior Flow Engineer, you will work under the technical direction of the in leading the efforts to enable successful FlowTracer (and potentially other Altair products) deployments at Customers' sites. In this role, a successful candidate will be responsible for understanding Customer requirements, gathering information, resolving issues, and providing high-performance solutions that are scalable and understandable. You will provide development & deployment solution approaches and effort estimates for design and implementation solutions. The ideal candidate will have proven analytical skills and the ability to constructively communicate with the extended team.

What You Will Do:

• Provision, Configure, Deploy and Support FlowTracer as well as our supporting products at Major & Strategic Customers.
• Develop & maintain a deep understanding of the features, benefits & values of Altair products, and in particular FlowTracer.
• Serve as technical lead within the Operations organization by acting as the escalation point for issues arising from specific Major Customer support and other functional areas within the company.
• Collaborate closely with the Development, QA & Support teams to improve processes & technology supporting deployment and maintenance of our applications.
• Be on point for debugging complex problems
• Provide training and mentoring to Development, QA, and Support personnel

What You Will Need:

Basics:

• Demonstrated understanding of Unix /Linux system.
• TCL and other scripting languages (perl, python).
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or closely related filed
• 3+ years of experience as an Application Engineer or EDA CAD developer with targeted experience
• Thrives in a start-up environment

• Experience deploying complex high-performance, high-transaction applications.
• Experience with SQL, PostgreSQL, and enterprise level data intensive applications a huge plus
• Experience with Excel, Tableau, Cognos, Splunk or other analytics software.
• Excellent Verbal & Written Communication Skills (English, Mandarin) are a must have.
• Ability to work with Product Management on requirements definition
• Ability to work with Customers on requirements definition
• Experience with commercial IT or BI solutions a plus
• Desire and energy to work in a fast-paced environment – previous startup experience a plus
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed ~25%
