Our client in Raymond, OH is looking for an Engineer L1. This is a contract position.

Job Summary

Requires CATIA V5/V6 skills and able to design fixturing to hold vehicle parts during processes such as weld, paint, assembly, and test. Needs to have a good understanding of body part construction, datums, and weld information to incorporate into fixture design. Is able to perform layout checks with all users involved to confirm fixtures meet all requirements. Familiar with exporting 3D/2D data and outsource to a supplier for quotes and ordering. Research and propose ways fixturing or processes can be improved. Able to support other request for fixturing, test equipment, or prototyping needs in the company. Also able to work with development groups such as Interior Design by creating data for evaluation models and Aerodynamic teams by designing wind tunnel test models.

Basics

• BS degree in science / engineering preferred or equivalent.
• Minimum Experience: 3 years in related design work experience.
• Advanced CATIA V5/V6 operation.
• High attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of vehicle construction/assembly.
• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
• Basic electrical and mechanical skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Teams, Outlook, Power Point, Excel, Word).
