CAE Engineer BS Degree

Our client in Saline, MI is looking for a CAE Engineer BS Degree. This is a direct hire/contract position.

What You Will Do:

  • Typical Tasks:
  • Meshing – Sheet metal, Resin and solid parts.
  • Model build coordination and model assembly.
  • Pre-processing:
    • Adding or replacing parts in LS-dyna.
    • Connecting parts, updating spotwelds adding or updating contacts.
    • Adding or updating data outputs, such as cross sections, accelerometers.
    • Following Our Clients procedures for moving or positioning Dummy models and seats.
  • Submitting simulations with Our Client´s internal process and software.
  • Post-processing / analyzing CAE results:
    • Creating reports of work
    • Communicating results to design engineers and team.
    • Negotiating countermeasures with TMNA R&D and TMC design engineers.
  • Description of support by TMNA:
    • TMNA will provide CAE equipment, software and licenses:
      • Workstation.
      • Software and licenses.
      • HPC and LS-dyna.
    • Task guidance, scheduling.

Basics:

  • Minimum of 2 years of Crash Safety CAE experience with LS-Dyna. Front or Side impact experience is ideal.
  • Strong analysis capabilities.
  • Experience with Pre and Post processing tools. Ideally:
    • Oasys Primer.
    • ANSA or Hypermesh.
    • GNS-mbH Animator.
    • Excel.
