Position Overview

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) is responsible for ensuring the safety, airworthiness, and operational readiness of various helicopter types, including Bell, Airbus, and Leonardo. The AME leverages their expertise across inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and system testing, to ensure all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with regulatory standards and technical manuals. Through their precision, technical excellence, and a commitment to quality, the AME upholds Alpine Aerotech's reputation as a leader in helicopter maintenance and support.

A Day in the Life of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

  1. Perform maintenance on rotary wing aircraft and components
  2. Carry out scheduled and unscheduled inspections
  3. Troubleshooting
  4. Repair and perform function tests of various systems
  5. Use appropriate manuals as required
  6. Complete and certify tasks and related documentation
  7. Service, tow and operate ground equipment
  8. Assist in training Apprentice AME's
  9. Fulfill additional duties as required
  10. Uphold an unwavering standard of excellence that impeccably represents the Alpine Aerotech brand

Our Must Haves

  • Valid Transport Canada M1 and/or M2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) License
  • Previous experience working with AS350/H125 helicopters considered an asset
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to generate high quality deliverables
  • Strong time and project management skills and self-motivation
  • Robust interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, and professional maturity with demonstrated ability to effectively interact and build professional relationships
  • Awareness of the sensitivity of information received and appropriate handling
  • Know what it means to work smarter, not harder

Compensation & Total Rewards

Aerotech's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. Our comprehensive and competitive total rewards package includes: dental, extended health, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, Employee & Family Assistance, Health Spending Account, RRSP matching program, and relocation allowance (as applicable). The range for this role is $35.00 to $45.00 per hour.
