Senior Software Engineer

At AlphaPet Ventures, we are advancing the vision of establishing healthy pet nutrition as a new standard. To further professionalize our digital processes and future-proof our e-commerce platforms, we are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer who will significantly shape the architecture and further development of our central Odoo-based ERP system and drive innovation through the use of AI.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Design and develop sophisticated solutions for our Odoo-based ERP system, optimize existing modules, and ensure their stability, efficiency, and scalability
• Implement strategic ERP projects, assess the technical feasibility of requirements in tickets, and coordinate closely with product owners
• Manage the entire release process, handle branches (Git), monitor the CI/CD pipeline, and communicate releases to all stakeholders
• Write clean, maintainable code, ensure quality through comprehensive testing, and promote high standards in the team through code reviews
• Proactively identify potentials for process automation and leverage your knowledge of AI tools to optimize our development and business processes

What You Bring

• At least 5 years of professional experience in software development, ideally with a focus on backend or ERP systems
• Proven, practical knowledge in developing with Odoo and the OCA framework is essential
• Demonstrable experience in the practical use of AI tools for process optimization, code review, or system improvement
• Excellent knowledge of Python and PostgreSQL, along with a confident handling of Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
• You value sustainable software architecture, clean code, and act solution-oriented
• Fluent English skills; German language skills are advantageous
