IT Operations Engineer

We are looking for an IT Operations Engineer (m/w/d) to support our team in Leipzig (with hybrid work option and regular assignments in the warehouse).

As an IT Operations Engineer (m/w/d) you will ensure a stable, secure and efficient IT operation – from the workplace to the infrastructure. You will work hands-on in basic administration, coordinate external service partners and ensure through service delivery engineering that the services of our partners meet our standards. Additionally, you will support hardware-related issues in our warehouse (e.g. scanners, label printers, WLAN, servers).

  • Ensure that IT operations run smoothly – including user and device management, software distribution, patch and asset management, backups and troubleshooting (Windows/Linux)
  • Manage external service partners through request management, on-boarding/off-boarding, SLA monitoring, quality assurance, acceptances and escalation management
  • Develop standards, runbooks and checklists for service delivery and continuously improve documentation, processes and interfaces
  • Support warehouse IT in the setup and maintenance of scanners, label printers, thin clients and WLAN/network; perform on-site fault analysis and device inventories
  • Monitor systems, resolve issues and support problem and change management according to ITIL principles
  • Automate recurring tasks with PowerShell or Bash, maintain deployments/CI-CD and support identity & endpoint management (AD, Azure AD/Entra, M365, Intune/Jamf) including security by default (hardening, patching, compliance)

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of experience in IT administration, IT operations or system engineering with solid foundations and hands-on mentality
  • Good knowledge of Windows/Linux administration, Active Directory/Azure AD, Microsoft 365 as well as first experiences with AI
  • Network basics (TCP/IP, VLAN, DHCP/DNS, VPN, WLAN, firewalls) and experience in working with external service providers (SLA, quality, acceptance)
  • Practical hardware skills, ideally in a warehouse/production environment (scanners, label printers, access points)
  • Routine in handling ticketing, documentation, and monitoring tools as well as scripting skills (PowerShell or Bash)
  • Willingness to occasionally on-site assignments in the warehouse, occasional on-call duty and short travels between locations; language skills: German at least B2, English at least B1/B2

What We Offer You

  • Responsible, exciting and varied tasks with much scope for initiative in a dynamic company that lives flat hierarchies and an open, relaxed working atmosphere where everyone is on a first name basis
  • A friendly, open team consisting of approx. 280 employees in Munich, Leipzig and Albourne (UK) with several beloved office dogs at our locations
  • Flexible working hours (based on trust-based working time), home office options including cost contribution to your home office equipment and the possibility to work from abroad for several months
  • 28 days of vacation entitlement as well as the possibility to take up to 20 days of unpaid leave and special leave!
  • Various internal and external development opportunities that you can choose according to your interests
  • Your mental health is important to us! Therefore, you can participate anonymously in individual or group therapy sessions within the framework of the platform "OpenUp" or speak in 1:1 meetings with real therapists
  • Various employee discounts - for humans and animals!
  • Regular team, company and family & friends events
  • Do you need a break? Relax in our social area which is equipped with a foosball table or challenge your colleagues to a Mario Kart battle (or another Nintendo Switch game) on our cozy sofa area!
  • Don't like reheated food? Ordering food takes too long? In our office there is a high-quality, fully equipped kitchen at your disposal where you can whip up a storm or bake amazing cakes!
  • Coffee, cocoa, tea and other cool soft drinks like water and juices as well as fresh fruit, small snacks and a fully stocked candy drawer are available for free
  • Many other great benefits that we would be happy to introduce to you in the course of the recruitment process!
