DevOps Engineer

This position is open to Argentina, Brazil, Colombia & Mexico only.

Aloware is a dynamic and fast-growing contact center as a software (CCaaS) startup that has achieved remarkable year-over-year growth for the past three years. Our transformative calling and texting software caters to a diverse array of industries, primarily serving mid-market and small B2B and B2C businesses.

About the Role

We seek an experienced DevOps Engineer to help us build scalable systems that maintain reliability, optimize performance, and improve our development environment. You will be responsible for setting up a modern DevOps environment at Aloware, provisioning systems and services, deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations that meet our customers' needs.

Responsibilities

  • Identify points of friction for developers and recommend solutions to improve team efficiency.
  • Manage and recommend scalable architectures for future-proof deployments.
  • Optimize our current ETL pipeline & queue system.
  • Reduce developer bottlenecks by detecting infrastructure and code quality issues quickly.
  • Manage and monitor AWS for performance and scalability.
  • Manage environment monitoring tools such as Sentry and CloudWatch.
  • Monitor infrastructure and services performance trending.

Our Stack, CI/CD & Infrastructure

  • Frameworks: Laravel (PHP) + VueJS
  • CI/CD Tools: Jenkins & GitHub Actions
  • Cloud Services: AWS (Aurora MySQL, Redshift, DMS, EC2, CloudFront, S3, ElastiCache (Redis), ...)

About You Requirements

    • Minimum of 5 years as a DevOps Engineer, SRE, or a combination of both.
    • Experience in DevOps best practices with the ability to leverage tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or other CI/CD tools such as Jenkins & GitHub Actions to automate software testing, delivery, and deployment.
    • Experience working with containerized workloads using Docker / Kubernetes / Karpenter for production and development.
    • Experience working with code quality and security monitoring tools such as SonarQube.
    • Proficient in using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to automate AWS infrastructure deployment and management.
    • Experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructures, including computing, storage, networking, and security, with a focus on AWS architecture.
    • Ability to design and implement highly available networking solutions using AWS Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Elastic Load Balancing (ELB), and Amazon Route 53.
    • Able to assist the development team in ensuring speedy delivery of quality code.
    • Experience with PHP Development (Laravel) is preferred but not mandatory.
    • IT management or Server management experience.

For this role, you're expected to work within EST or PST business hours, regardless of your time zone.
