Job Summary: Cleans, sanitizes and disinfects all areas of health care facility. Maintains cleanliness of patient rooms, operating rooms, exam rooms, treatment rooms, care centers and public areas. Collects and transports solid and infectious waste within the health care facility. May stock clean linen in linen room and departments. Coordinates the workflow among employees within the work area.

Principle Responsibilities:

• Cleans, sanitizes and disinfects all areas of health care facility.
• Collects and transports solid and infectious waste within the health care facility.
• Coordinates the workflow among employees within the work area.
• May stock clean linen in linen room and departments.
• Utilizes hospital equipment and supplies in a safe and effective manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description.
• 0 to 2 years of environmental services experience or high school diploma/GED.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 months similar work experience.

Physical Demands:

• Medium Work: Lifting weight up to 50 lbs. occasionally, up to 25 lbs. frequently.

Pay Range:

Pay Range: $19.18 to $26.12 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
