Quality Engineer Intern - Greenfield, Indiana

The Quality Engineer Intern will contribute directly to improving our quality processes and systems, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting the long-term growth of our quality team. The Quality Intern will focus on the following key projects and tasks during their 12 week summer internship.

What You Will Do:

  • Emerging Technology Research: Identify, evaluate, and recommend new inspection technologies to improve accuracy and reduce backlog
  • Poka-Yoke Development: Design and implement advanced poka-yoke systems to address recurring quality issues and improve process reliability.
  • Quality System Improvement: Review, document, and streamline the creation and control of documentation, process and product audits, and non-conforming material management.
  • Quality Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze quality data, identify root causes of defects, and implement corrective actions.
  • Support for APQP Activities: Assist in addressing the tasks required to support increased efficiencies resulting from process and sourcing improvements.
  • Strategic Contributions: Work closely with the quality team to support long-term quality initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Supply Chain, or Data Analytics
  • Experience with: Data Analysis and Statistics, Root Cause Analysis, Microsoft Office, CAD
  • Excellent verbal, written, computer, and presentation skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Able to work cross-functional requiring teamwork and strong communication skills.
