Backend Engineer

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to strengthen the Industrial vertical product team. You'll play a critical role in expanding our backend development capacity, further streamlining our software delivery, and maintaining a high-quality, enterprise-ready software platform.

As an individual contributor, you will take ownership of complex backend systems, shape architectural decisions, and contribute to stable and secure product delivery—helping us serve new and existing customers with excellence.

Your Responsibilities

• Own and evolve backend services built in Java/Spring Boot, ensuring security, performance, and maintainability.
• Design and expose scalable REST APIs.
• Interface with databases and AI service layers.
• Contribute to architectural transitions (e.g., storage backend migration).
• Design and contribute to our CI/CD environments with GitHub and Kubernetes—supporting both cloud and on-prem deployments.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams: product managers, frontend engineers, and AI specialists.
• Uphold engineering best practices, especially around secure development and data sensitivity.

Your Profile

• Proven experience in Java backend development.
• Proven experience with enterprise-grade software: cloud and/or on-premise deployments via Kubernetes.
• Experience with modular architectures and persistence frameworks (e.g., Hibernate, EclipseLink).
• High ownership mindset: you care about quality, reliability, and outcomes.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD (GitHub preferred), Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Security-first mindset with attention to handling sensitive data responsibly.
• Adaptable to mature development processes; you contribute positively to team culture and codebase quality.
• Excellent communication skills; able to work across disciplines and collaborate asynchronously.
