As a Technician II supporting Finishing Engineering team, you will be primarily responsible for handling complex technical tasks in planning, designing, and implementing maintenance programs for facilities and equipment. You will be expected to build effective and meaningful relationships with production staff and ensure adherence to procedures at Johor, Malaysia. In this role, a typical day will include:
- Execute an efficient and effective PM activities to keep the instruments/equipment in a good condition and ensure no overdue PM.
- All instruments/equipment related Finishing Engineering, Production, Lab and QC to maintain at minimum downtime and minimum number of NCR. Provide engineering support to other functions as well and when required.
- Ensure correct SOPs and forms are used to perform planned activities. Need to have good GDP of documentation. Ensure updated release documents are used for PM activities and in validated state.
- Ensure all PM records are properly recorded and kept. Ensure 24/7 round the clock support is provided to production.
- Actively participate in cost reduction, cost saving, machine set-up and improve efficiency of PM and machines repairs time.
- Handle technical tasks related to planning, designing, and implementing maintenance programs to optimize facility and equipment availability and productivity.
- Assist in coordinating maintenance engineering work and liaise with production staff to coordinate repair work, statutory safety inspections, and the supply of new plant and equipment with production schedules.
- Review mechanical and electrical engineering specifications and assess new equipment designs for reliability, ease of maintenance, and availability of replacement parts.
- Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Make decisions within the scope of your tasks, requiring advanced technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training.
- Meet individual job requirements and contribute to the overall compliance of the organization, committing to continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory requirements.
What You'll Bring To Alcon:
- Education: Diploma in Engineering (+1 year relevant experiences)
- Advanced Certificate: Certificate in Engineering (+3 years relevant experiences)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Manufacturing.
- Experience in medical devices environment is preferred.
- Must be good in trouble shooting in pneumatic, electrical & mechanical.
- Skilled in electronic circuit troubleshooting, chiller system knowledge, power supply systems and schematic reading & interpretation.
- Must be willing to work in 12 hours rotation shift.
