As a Technician II under our Chemical Production Department, you will be responsible for all the routine and non-routine processes of chemical formulations (lens formulation materials, in-process solutions, in-package saline solutions) operations in our Tuas Plant.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Performs routine and non-routine processes in chemical production operations
• Helps manage and maintain chemical production calibration, documentation, inventory (i.e. cycle count), maintenance and compliance
• Assumes full responsibility in maintaining training on the required technical, quality compliance and safety standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Participates and/or initiates projects that improve process efficiency and/or reduce operating cost
• Knows, understands and complies with health, safety and environment (HSE) guidelines. Reports any unsafe conditions, injuries, illnesses and hazardous material releases
• Knowledgeable in safe handling of chemicals/waste disposal
• Supports implementation of data integrity (DI) program for the site

Job requirement:

• At least NITEC in chemical process technology, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, chemical and life sciences or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing environment, production operations, GMP/GDP manufacturing or any other related manufacturing sectors.
• Comfortable to be lifting heavy weights
• Forklift license is an advantage
