The position involves developing maintenance plans, assessing their impact through reliability analyses, managing spare parts, and conducting problem cause assessments in alignment with Fjarðaál's strategy.
1. General Overview of the Role
Purpose and Objective: To support reliable and cost-effective operation of equipment by developing preventive maintenance plans and evaluating their benefits through reliability analyses.

2. Basic Requirements
Education and/or Certifications Required: Technical or engineering education, or other practical education such as mechanical engineering.
Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, including experience in maintenance. Experience in manufacturing environments is an advantage.
Required Skills:
Communication and Collaboration: Reliability and maintenance specialists work closely with planners, maintenance leads, technicians, operations managers, and technical teams across production areas. Also includes communication with suppliers, service providers, and Alcoa's technical support (Center of Excellence).
