Technical Sales Solutions Executive

The Technical Sales Solutions Executive is responsible for assisting and supporting the sales and technical functions within the Compartmentation Department, focusing on mechanical solutions.

This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and customer-focused communication. The Executive will handle customer inquiries across various platforms, including walk-ins at the Head Office, issue quotations, and maintain positive client relationships. Responsibilities also include supporting the Commercial Department's operations, managing both in-office and on-site client interactions, and contributing to business growth through new leads, upselling, and cross-selling.

Key Responsibilities

Technical and Sales Support

  • Assist in providing both administrative and technical support to the Technical Designer and Project Coordinator.
  • Compile tender and RFQ documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Support in the preparation of technical proposals, quotations, and cost evaluations.
  • Maintain updated records of customer interactions, project progress, and tender submissions.

Client and Stakeholder Support

  • Act as a point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and providing technical guidance.
  • Assist in identifying customer needs and developing tailored solutions for projects.
  • Maintain proactive, dynamic, and effective communication with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Offer a flexible and customer-focused approach to maintain high satisfaction levels and repeat business.

Office and Resource Coordination

  • Assist in office operations and organization within the department.
  • Support resource planning by coordinating materials, schedules, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and health & safety regulations.
  • Work closely with the engineering and commercial teams to align technical solutions with client expectations and project goals.

Coordination & Operational Support

  • Assist in the coordination of resources and project timelines, liaising with internal teams and subcontractors.
  • Work closely with engineering and commercial teams to ensure alignment between technical specifications and client expectations.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of supporting documents, drawings, and schedules.
  • Monitor supplier relationships to ensure timely procurement and up-to-date product knowledge.

Quality Control & Compliance

  • Ensure proposals and project solutions align with internal quality standards and external regulations.
  • Promote the integration of ISO and LPCB standards where applicable, mirroring processes in other technical sales units such as mechanical.
  • Participate in internal reviews to ensure proposal accuracy, feasibility, and alignment with health and safety regulations.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • A background in administration roles within a technical environment.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in technical sales, tendering, or project coordination in a mechanical, joinery, or compartmentation setting.
  • Knowledge and experience in joinery, furniture design, or aperture manufacturing (timber or aluminium).
  • Experience in drafting quotations and working within structured tendering environments.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and technical documentation platforms.
  • Valid Maltese driving license is considered an asset.
