Lunchroom Worker

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• VDRL test yearly
• TB Skin test every other year
• Demonstrated skills and performance in the area of food service
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the local Board may find appropriate and acceptable

Reports To:

Lunchroom Manager or Child Nutrition Program Director

Job Goal:

To serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and friendliness.

Performance Responsibilities:

• Assists in the preparation of food portions and prepares cafeteria counter.
• Serves students and staff from the cafeteria counter until all students/staff have been served.
• Removes used dishes and assists in the cleaning of counters, tables, and furnishings in the dining and kitchen area.
• Maintains the trash and garbage collection area in a neat and sanitary fashion.
• Can be assigned any duties throughout the course of a day's work that relates to lunchroom duties; cooking, dishroom, stock, assisting with inventory, cleaning of floors, assisting with paper work, removal of trash.
• Attends all required staff training.
• Adheres to any and all other Child Nutrition Program guidelines.

Terms Of Employment:

Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

Evaluation:

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.
