Reports To: Principal and Elementary Curriculum Coordinator

Job Goal: To assist the K-2 teacher to foster learning, growth and development and readiness of grade-level standards, for each child through the use of high quality, developmentally appropriate instruction and ongoing assessments.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Regularly required to speak, listen, walk, stand, sit, use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms using a keyboard and video display. May occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, ability to focus, and peripheral vision.
Performance Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Terms of employment: 187-days
Daily work schedule will be determined by the principal or his/her designee for the necessary operations of the school assigned. Work assignments and schedules are subject to change.
Salary: Approved salary schedule for K-2 Auxiliary Teachers is located on the Human Resources webpage. Annual salary is based on a 40-hour week with daily full-time equivalent of 37.5 standard work hours.
Evaluation: Performance will be evaluated in accordance with the support personnel evaluation system and board policy.
