This critical role is responsible for implementing and advancing our product reliability and quality strategy, integrating industry best practices to ensure the robustness and longevity of our data center products. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in reliability engineering fundamentals, with proven expertise in using statistical software to predict product reliability. You will lead end-to-end reliability projects, defining product requirements, developing and executing reliability test plans, and conducting MTBF calculations and demonstrations. Additional responsibilities also include performing in-depth failure analysis, managing field risk, and driving continuous improvements. A strong background in the reliability of complex electronic systems and their components is essential.
Responsibilities:
Reliability Analysis & Testing:
Design and oversee comprehensive reliability test plans, including Accelerated Life Testing (ALT), Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS), burn-in, ESS, ORT and exploratory testing.
Perform detailed reliability analysis using statistical methods like Weibull analysis to predict product life, forecast field failure rates, and support predictive analysis.
Failure Analysis & Root Cause Investigation:
Lead/Support cross-functional teams in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for product failures, employing debugging process, utilizing analytical tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, Fault Tree Analysis) to identify true root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
Analyze field data from past-generation products using Weibull analyses and reliability growth models (e.g., Reliasoft) to proactively address potential issues.
Design for Reliability (DfR) & Quality:
Apply Design for Reliability (DfR) and Design for Manufacturability (DfM) principles to ensure robust design from the start.
Lead the identification and mitigation of critical or high-risk components.
Support Design and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEAs).

Hands-on experience with complex PCBA products. Preference for candidates with a background in the medical, telecommunication, or defense sectors.
Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) certification is preferred.
Expertise in Design for Reliability (DfR) techniques such as reliability allocation, NUDD, DFMEA/PFMEA, and product risk assessment.
Proven ability to plan and initiate failure analysis, driving failures to root cause and corrective action.
Knowledge of physics of failure for electronics and various testing methods.
Experience with a variety of reliability prediction standards (e.g., Telcordia, MIL-HDBK-217).
