Our team, the Modeling and Simulation Contract for Framework and Tools (MASC-F) team, is constantly engineering, developing and integrating new capabilities for the U.S. Missile Defense System. MASC-F develops and sustains the simulation framework supporting the MDA's test needs. Software Lead to maintain and follow the Software Development Plan.
You are a technically proficient software engineer with a strong background in programming and system architecture. The Work:
- Develop and mentor junior software engineers. Maintain software baselines and oversee software builds. Adjudicate Cybersecurity findings.
- Support design and develop new C++/Java/Web applications; Maintain existing applications
- Support software testing and resolution of issues from multiple baselines
- Generate software design artifacts and support design and code reviews

Basic Qualifications:
- Must have an Interim DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience in full life cycle software development of C++/Java-based applications in a UNIX/Linux platform environment.
- Experience developing software in a structured, process-based integrated team environment.
- Experience utilizing configuration management tools in the development of software (e.g. Git/Gitlab/etc.).
- Understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts such as System requirements, Use Cases, and SysML diagrams.
Desired Skills:
- Experience resolving cyber/security issues identified by Fortify/SonarQube/etc.
- Experience using Eclipse to develop software applications.
- Experience using Maven or Gradle.
- Experience using automated unit testing frameworks.
- Experience with performance optimization.
- Experience with the Objective Simulation Framework
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
- Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
